Getting Directly Involved in Environmental Research

While systematic research is often considered the purvey of serious behind-closed-doors academics, in reality, citizen science plays a huge role in ongoing research. The more “boots on the ground”, the more data can be collected and the more ground can be covered. We actively collaborate with non-academic institutions and individuals to pursue our research goals, which include:

  1. monitoring and documenting plant populations
  2. finding new locations of rare or threatened species
  3. continuing seed collection efforts

Individuals or organizations looking for field experience or wishing to participate in ecological research programs should get in touch with us to discuss opportunities.
